A thousand times over…

STUDY!!!!!!!!

January 23rd, 2007

I’m basically dead. I have 3 finals tommorow, and I didnt even finish studying for one, which is the hardest and most time consuming. The other 2 I can do good (I hope so) without studying. Inshallaah taa’laa. Since I feel like I’m going to fall asleep trying to rewrite my notes on the bed, I decided to write one of the sections on here, cuz I dont feel as sleepy using the computer haha.

Meaning of the Confession: Muhammad-ur-Rasul-Allah.

The belief that he is sent from Allah, so that we should believe him in what he has informed, and obey him in what he has ordered, and leave what he has forbade, and worship Allah as he has decreed. Moreover, we should believe that he is the last of the Prophets and that he is a Messenger for all mankind and *shudder* jinn.

In fact, the veneration of the Prophet with his order and prohibition and sticking to his rules are the true expression for the real meaning of this testimony.

However, this is a mere submission to the orders of Allah, who sent him to all people as a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner, and as one who invites to Allah, by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light.

Our Duty towards the Prophet of Allah

1. Believing Him - Allah swt has said [Nor does he say aught of his own desire.]

2. Patterning after him. Allah swt has said [Say, O Muhammad, "If you do love Allah, then follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.]

3. Decreeing his Love The prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “None amongst you is a true believer till he loves me more than he loves his father, son, and all of mankind.”

4. Adoration of Allah the way he decreed Allah swt said [He who obeys the Messenger, has in fact obeyed Allah.]

5. Avoiding to cause harm to him Allah swt has said [AMong them are men who molest the Prophet and say, "He is all ear." Say o Muhammad, "He listens to what is best for you: he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers and is a Mercy to those who believe." But those who molest the Prophet will have a grievous punishment.] In fact, the phrase ‘molest the prophet’ here includes: his honorable body, what he has sent by from Allah, his Sunnah, his family, his wives-the mothers of the believers- and his honorable companions.

6. Reciting Prayer and Peace Upon Him Narrated Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa salam) said, “He who recites prayer and peace upon me, Allah would bless him ten times.”

Thats nothing. I butchered those notes so much, so I wouldnt have to write it aaaaaaalllll…

Oh ok, and while Im on a role, I’ll write these notes as well:

What Nullifies Shahada: Contradicting Aspects of Islam

These ten are apparently the most dangerous and widespread contradicting aspects of Islam:

1. Shirk in worshipping Allah. Calling upon dead people, calling them for help and nathr (vows) and thabh (slaughtering) for them is considered so.

2. Taking other creatures as a means of worshipping, calling, and asking them to intercede for them…considered disbelief.

3. Who does not consider polytheists as disbelievers, or doubts in their disbelief, or tries to acceapt their religion is a disbeliever.

4. Who believs that the guidance of the prophet is less perfect than other’s guidance, or who things that His Judegment is worse than other’s judgement, as those who prefer Tawagheet’s rule, is a disbeliever.

5. Whoever hates soemthing of what the Prophet has been sent with, even if he applies it. Allah swt said [That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless]

6. Who mocks at something of what the Prophet has been sent with or at the Reward of the Punishments he has informed about.

7. Magic, including distraction and commiseration  (2 major kinds of magic, which magicians can distract 2 people from each other)

8. Supporting and aiding polytheists against believers.

9. Whosoever thinks that he could live away from an Islamic law.

10. Turning away from the Religon of Allah.

All these contradictions are applicable to all people.

May Allah swt protect us from what may entail His anger, and necessitate His punishment.

Okay, now a billion more notes to go…a hundred more hadiths to memorize, and also a hundred more ayat.

Chillin’

January 16th, 2007

So its 8:00 AM here. I’m listlessly pacing around the house. I don’t know what I’m doing. Everyone is either at work or school, except my brother who is sleeping, but I have to wake him up in a few hours to go to college.

I’m supposed to be at school, but blah whatever.

Anyways.

Pakistan strikes camp in Waziristan

The Pakistan army has launched an air attack on what it believes to be a camp for suspected fighters in Waziristan, a tribal area bordering Afghanistan.

Major-General Shaukat Sultan, a spokesman for the military, said between 25 and 30 suspects were present at the time of the attack on Tuesday

“The operation was carried out at around 6:55am (01:55 GMT) in Zam Zola in South Waziristan, based on information that 25 to 30 miscreants, including foreigners were present there,” Sultan said.

He said missiles were fired at mud-walled compounds housing the suspects.

Helicopter gunships were then deployed to complete the operation. “I can’t tell you the exact number of casualties, but most of them were killed,” Sultan said.

While the army and a senior local official said the dead were fighters, and included some foreigners, a resident said the slain men were in fact Afghan labourers.

Kamal Hyder, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in the region, said he had received unconfirmed reports that most of those killed were “innocent civilians” in the densely-wooded Zam Zola area. He said people were still being dug out.

He said that he also had unconfirmed reports that the attack came from Afghanistan, and had possibly involved American aircraft.

Pakistan’s army insists that the raid was launched by its own attack helicopters.

Problem region

The south of Waziristan has long acted as a refuge for the Taliban and al-Qaeda, despite an army campaign that began in late 2003 to clear them out.

The army later struck a peace deal, but fighters linked to the Taliban grew in influence in the semi-autonomous tribal region, actively recruiting men and boys to fight in Afghanistan.

Last September, the government of General Pervez Musharraf struck another peace deal with tribal elders in neighbouring North Waziristan. Afghan, Nato and US forces in Afghanistan are concerned that this accord will also result in pro-Taliban and al-Qaeda elements gathering in strength.

Pakistan has been trying to find ways to isolate the fighters in Waziristan as it has lost of hundreds of troops in the fighting and wants to reduce the risk of inducing a wider conflict in the tribal areas.
